Read Lab on pages 21-23 in your textbook (Investigation II -Lesson 2 in Alchemy) Titled "Now You See it" and fill in the table I passed out (if you lost it, you can draw one out, its in your book) with the main steps in the procedure. You must be able to answer questions about your lab before you may begin on monday!

For Thursday

Finish the activity that started on pg. 17 (do all the questions 1-8). Then, on page 19, there are some questions labelled homework. Do these as well.

Post lab due Thursday (Do it in your lab notebook).
For Wednesday, do pg. 31 q. 1 a and b.

Reminder, you have until monday to retake your test. You have a week from today (next tuesday) to retake your element quiz.

You must do your pre-lab for the lab tomorrow. You will not be allowed to complete the lab without it!

Also, color code your periodic tables with the following and make a key:
Main group, Transition Metals, Inner-Transition Metals, Metals, Non-metals, Semi-Metals (metalloids), Alkali Metals, Alkaline Earth Metals, Halogens, Noble Gases, S-Block, P-Block, D-Block, F-Block, Lanthanides, Actinides.

Weekend Homework

Read Pages 35 to 37. In your vocab section of your binder, write out any vocab you come accross with their definitions. Do the questions on page 37.

Test Thursday on everything we've done so far!
I collected the lab from the Density of the Penny, if you haven't handed it in yet, get it to me ASAP!
HW study for the test. Quiz ws on all the calculations we've learned. Show your work. It will be graded as a homework assignment but do your best so you can gauge what you know for the test. We will go over it tomorrow, so come with questions.

Weekend Homework

Scientific notation worksheet and the questions at the end of the lab. Feel free to answer them right on the ws. If anyone has not yet finished the chemistry is pun, do over the weekend and I'll accept it late on monday.

Anyone who hasn't brought in their lab notebook, binder, or lab safety sheet yet must bring it in tomorrow.
